I have also received phone calls at least three times a day from this company. For at least two months in a row.I don't always answer the phone, particularly if I don't know who it is that is calling.
I do receive too many from people who are looking for someone else.In most cases they will offer at least an I'm Sorry, when they have called me looking for someone else.On one hand,If this company where trying to do collections for a company,I'll give them this much, they don't give up,In this case, I googled them to find out who they where.
I found out someone was being harassed.
Which I know is not legal. So the reason I am undecided is:If they are doing some

collections to try to get money back that is owed to me, hooray! There are so
many companies that owe me. If they are looking for money from me for someone else. The line they would have to stand in is thousands of miles long, sometimes
wireless,and grows longer,stronger,and
more determined every day.

In general you need to respond to CBE Group by mail by sending a debt validation or cease and desist letter. Generally, all debt collectors are bottom feeding-dirt bag debt collection company for some company that they buy the debt for pennies on the dollars. If you owe any of companies(companies-govt agency) money, you must write a cease and desist letter demanding that they stop calling you, and ask for a written verification or validation that you owe any monies. In your letter tell them the following; This account is incorrect and fraudulent. I refuse to make any payment on any account without legal validation as required by the Fair Debt Collections Act. Therefore, your client who ever they think you owe monies to(or IRS) and your CBE Group Inc. offices have violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act in several instances. In each instance there can be a $1,000.00 fine for violating my credit rights in the pursuit in collecting a non-validated debt. For this reason, I hereby instruct you to cease collection of this debt, for the above referenced account (Add any account number that may have been received in a debt collection letter). Further, it is my personal policy not to deal with collection agencies and I will only deal with the original creditor of this account.
You are hereby instructed to cease collection efforts immediately or face further legal sanctions under applicable Federal and State law. I plan to sue you and your company for three violations, if you firm continues this unlawful collections activity.I look forward to your acknowledgement of that you have received this letter.GIVE THIS LETTER THE IMMEDIATE ATTENTION IT DESERVES. Cordially, Then add your full name, or your name that appears on a debt collection letterMake sure & CC: The US. Fair Trade Commission
Send the letter to CBE Group Inc., Attn. Legal Dept., 7700 West 119th Street, Overland Park, KS, 66213-1104; Be sure to send your cease and desist letter certified-return reciept mail.
Feel free to use this info as template, it has worked for me. Usually you can get rid of a Collection Agency by demanding verification & demanding a cease & desist of collections. You may have to write more than one letter. Do a search and find out a managers or VP's name and send it directly to him or her, certified mail, return reciept. This tatic works, I have done this many times myself and even sued in small claims court. They usually give in and go away! But you must be determined and persistant, just like when their calling you! Good Luck, psully2
